The Haitian Church of Queen Creek
The Haitian Church of Queen Creek, operating under the International House of Prayer (IHOP), is a Bible-based church that upholds the Scriptures as the inerrant Word of God and the sole authority in all matters of faith. Within its pages, one finds the teachings that lead to salvation in Christ and the guidance needed for our daily journey on earth.
Recognizing the moral decline of modern society, we extend an invitation to those who do not yet know the Lord to accept His salvation. To those already in the church, we echo the exhortation of Philippians 2:12: "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Complacency and lukewarmness must be avoided. While we are saved by grace, we must not assume that salvation is merely about securing a place in heaven. Some false teachers boldly claim that one cannot out-sin his salvation—that no matter how one lives, his place in heaven remains guaranteed.
However, Scripture strongly refutes this notion, declaring that the first step toward salvation is conviction of sin, as written in 2 Corinthians 7:10:
"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death."
Without true contrition brought about by godly sorrow, a corrupt heart will find joy in the fleeting pleasures of sin. But through genuine repentance, we receive forgiveness and are welcomed into the family of God. From that point forward, walking in the newness of life must be our way of living.
Our church urges everyone not to take the message of salvation lightly:
- Jesus suffered and died for your salvation.
- He paid the ultimate price to make it available to you.
- He left His glorious state and became a man so that you might receive it.
- He shed His blood on the cross and then entered the Holy of Holies in heaven with His own blood to complete the work of salvation for your soul.
We must never treat this precious gift of salvation as a secondary concern. If we allow ourselves to become overly secure in our salvation while neglecting righteous living, we risk falling into the same complacency as the foolish virgins in Jesus’ parable.
At the Haitian Church of Queen Creek, the message of salvation is our highest priority. We believe that the prosperity gospel, which is widely spread today, should be replaced with the gospel of spiritual prosperity—centered on the enjoyment of spiritual wealth that comes from the fullness of God's presence(Psalm 16:11). Our mission is to preach the gospel to those who have not yet come to know the Lord and to encourage the church to remain prepared for His second coming, as it is written:
"Take heed to yourself and to your doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you." — 1 Timothy 4:16
Mission
Our mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, calling unbelievers to repentance and salvation while encouraging believers to live a life of holiness, faithfulness, and readiness for the second coming of the Lord. We are committed to upholding the truth of Scripture as the inerrant Word of God and the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice. Our goal is to foster spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and unwavering devotion to Christ among all who seek Him.
Vision
We envision a Christ-centered community where individuals and families experience true transformation through the power of God’s Word. As a church, we strive to be a beacon of light in an ever-darkening world, standing firm against complacency and spiritual lukewarmness. Our vision is to equip believers to live out their faith boldly, walk in the newness of life, and remain steadfast in their pursuit of holiness, preparing for the glorious return of our Savior.
Core Beliefs
1.The Authority of Scripture – We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, serving as the foundation for all doctrine and practice.
2. The Trinity – We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. Salvation through Grace – We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
4. Sanctification and Holiness – We believe that true salvation produces a transformed life, marked by holiness, obedience to God’s commands, and a continuous walk in righteousness.
5. Spiritual Readiness – We believe that believers must remain vigilant, living in a manner worthy of the calling of Christ, anticipating His return.
6. The Power of the Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live victoriously, convicting the world of sin and guiding the church in truth.
7. The Second Coming of Christ – We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, though the exact time remains unknown, and we must remain prepared.
